Tunisia maintains Coach Jalel Kadri
In a statement issued today, the Tunisian Football Federation (FTF) announced that Coach Jaleld Kadri who led the Eagles of Carthage in the Qatar 2022 World Cup will be maintained until the expiry of his contract in 2024.
In the statement, the federation announces that “after a meeting held on Thursday December 29, 2022, in the headquarters of the FTF, for the purpose of assessing the last participation in the Qatar 2022 World Cup, (….) FTF chairman Wadie Jery decided to reject the resignation of the national coach, Jalel Kadri.”
The FTF also announced that the medical staff and the coach’s assistants will be maintained. After a controversial participation in the last edition of the FIFA World Cup where they were kicked out of the tournament’s first round despite defeating the defending champions, France, the Eagles of Carthage eye the 2023 AFCON competition to prove that this historic victory was not mere coincidence.
